Ombudsman Caucasion man
I never knew I could make such a difference by spending just 5 hours a week in my assigned facility.

Federal law mandates that each person who lives in a nursing home should receive quality of care, be afforded quality of life, and have specific rights and privileges maintained. There are a lot of facilities to choose from and most of them provide quality care. But you can make a positive difference in the care that you or a loved one receives by learning a few things about long term care and programs to help people in long term care facilities.

This section of the web site explores some of the concerns people have in making decisions about long term care. "Did You Know . . .?" and "How Do I . . . ?" cover little known facts and common questions in a question and answer format. "Keeping in Touch," a video in which family members and facility administrators discuss their experiences with long term care, can be viewed from this site.
